All traffic held on M62 eastbound due to crash involving cars and a lorry

ALL traffic is currently being held on the M62 eastbound this afternoon, Monday. This follows reports of a crash between junction 11 for Birchwood and junction 12 for the M60 at Eccles Interchange. All traffic was held on the eastbound carriageway from 3.50pm following the collision.

This involved two cars and a lorry, according to traffic officers from National Highways who are at the scene. A spokesman confirmed that all emergency services are attending the scene. There is currently a 30-minute delay on approach to the incident, with four miles of congestion building.

Motorists are advised to find an alternative route.
