Woman, 60, fighting for life in hospital after being hit by truck in Bromley

The incident happened in the High Street near Masons Hill at around 4.10pm on May 14. Officers and London Ambulance Service crews attended and found a woman with a "serious" head injury. She was taken to hospital for treatment where her condition was assessed as life threatening.
The driver, a 39-year-old woman, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving unfit through drink or drugs. She has since been bailed. A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: "On Wednesday, 14 May at 16:12hrs, police were called to High Street, Bromley, following reports of a road traffic collision involving a truck and a pedestrian.
"A 60-year-old woman was treated at the scene by the London Ambulance Service before being transferred to hospital. "Her injuries are believed to be life threatening. "The driver, a 39-year-old woman, has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving unfit through drink or drugs.
"She has been bailed. "The road was initially closed but has since been reopened." A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 4.10pm yesterday (14 May) to reports of a road traffic collision at the junction of Masons Hill and the High Street, Bromley.
"We sent an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car and an incident response officer to the scene.
We also dispatched London's Air Ambulance.
"We treated an elderly patient for a serious head injury and took her to a major trauma centre by road as a priority."
