Two people have been rescued by firefighters and taken to hospital after a crash between a taxi and a lorry[1] on the A10[2] in Cambridgeshire[3]. An air ambulance[4] was called to the scene alongside police officers and firefighters after the crash in Milton[5] at around 1pm on Thursday (April 1). Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue[6] confirmed that firefighters released two casualties, who were left in the care of ambulance crews.

An East of England Ambulance Service[7] spokesperson said: "Two ambulances, a paramedic car, three Hazardous Area Response Team vehicles and East Anglian Air Ambulance were called to the A10 near Milton this afternoon following reports of a road traffic collision. "Two patients were transported to Addenbrooke's Hospital[8] by road ambulance for further assessment and care." Milton Road was closed in both directions between Landbeach Road and Waterbeach turn off until around 3.45pm, and drivers were asked to allow extra time for journeys.
