M4 car fire causes major bank holiday disruption
A car fire caused major disruption on the M4 this afternoon. There were long delays and two lanes were closed on the M4 westbound from junction 23A Magor services to junction 24 Coldra. There was congestion all the way back to junction 28 Tredegar Park on the other side of Newport.
The eastbound side was also congested due to onlookers. The motorway was already busy with bank holiday traffic. All restrictions have since been lifted and traffic is said to be easing
