M25 partially reopens after two lorry crash

Part of the M25[1] was closed on Wednesday (May 14) following a serious collision. Two lorries collided at 3.45am, a mile after junction 6 and the road was closed for most of the day. One man was taken to hospital with serious injuries[2] and two people have been arrested[3].
Drivers faced long delays due to the closure between junction 6 for A22 Godstone and junction 5 for Sevenoaks and the M26. There were also severe delays back to junction 7 for the M23. Travel site Inrix added: "Long delays opposite with onlookers from junction 5, and heavy diverting via the A25 past Oxted and Banstead."
One lorry overturned, spilling fuel on the carriageway. Surrey Fire and Rescue service are currently in attendance. Delays had cleared by just after 8pm but three lanes were due to be closed from 10pm for emergency resurfacing work.
This is an ongoing incident.
