Live: M5 shut near Gloucestershire Airport after serious crash
The M5 northbound is closed in Gloucestershire this morning after a serious crash overnight. A section of the motorway is closed between Gloucester and Cheltenham. It comes after a collision involving two vehicles in the early hours of Monday morning [May 26] near Gloucestershire Airport.
Accident investigation work is continuing and drivers are warned of severe delays. A diversion route has been put in place while emergency services remain at the scene. The traffic site Inrix has reported the latest.
It says: "M5 Northbound closed due to accident investigation work from J11A A417 (Gloucester / Cirencester ) to J11 A40 (Gloucester / Golden Valley Bypass) after two cars collided at 01:00 this morning.
