Live: M5 and M4 traffic delays ahead of sunny weekend
Drivers face long delays on the M5 this afternoon[1], Friday, May 16. There is currently heavy traffic on the southbound carriageway of the motorway around Bristol ahead of another warm and sunny weekend. Roads and traffic monitoring site, Inrix, reports tailbacks on the M5 southbound near Clevedon and Wellington. It said: "Long delays on M5 southbound around J20 B3133 Ettlingen Way (Clevedon). Congestion to J15 (M4 interchange).
Traffic in patches." There is also congestion on the M49 southbound as drivers head towards the M5[2] and there is slow traffic on the M4 heading westbound towards the Almondsbury Interchange following a crash that has closed two lanes at junction 19 for the M32.
