Live: Firefighters tackle large blaze near M5 in Somerset
A large fire is currently ongoing which can be seen from the M5 in Somerset. The fire can be seen from close to junction 23 of the M5 near Bridgwater[1]. A large number of calls were received by Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue[2] reporting the fire[3].
The fire service said that one water bowser, one wildfire pump and three additional fire pumping appliances have been sent to the scene. Crews were sent from Bridgwater, Burnham-on-Sea[4] and Street. Another crew from Cheddar was later sent.
The fire service are currently tackling the outdoor fire.
