TSA will supply 1,500 electric motors to Solaris

Fifteen years together and 1,500 permanent magnet synchronous electric motors, model HD.T3, to be delivered in the next three years. It further strengthens the already strong relationship between TSA (Traktionssysteme Austria) and Solaris Bus & Coach. The supply agreement is already underway: in December 2024, TSA delivered the first five Urbino articulated truck engines destined for Sweden to the Polish manufacturer (part of the CAF Group)

The TSA HD.T3 motor for Solaris, in detail

The HD.T3 permanent-magnet synchronous motor delivers a peak power of 420 kW and a maximum torque of 4,000 Nm; its compact design and modularity enable its integration into buses of various sizes, powered by batteries or fuel cells. TSA's HD.T3 motors will be installed in Solaris' latest 12-, 15- and 18-meter electric models. The new generation of the Urbino is built on a modular drive architecture developed together with TSA, which eliminates the need for a conventional motor tower[1].

A solution that increases passenger space and maximizes the usable area of the vehicle, allowing the battery to be placed solely on the roof.
