Surrey Police appeal after man killed in Chertsey lorry collision

A pedestrian has died after being struck by a lorry, Surrey Police have said.

Officers were called to Holloway Hill, near the roundabout with Guildford Road in Chertsey, at about 11:50 BST on Tuesday.

A man in his 30s was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead later that evening and his family informed.

The driver of the lorry stopped at the scene, assisted the police with their inquiries and no arrests were made, said the force.

Holloway Hill was closed for four hours afterwards while emergency services attended the scene.

Officers wish to speak to anyone who might have witnessed the collision, or anyone with CCTV, dashcam or helmet cam that may have captured footage of it.
