Stagecoach confirms new route for 1/X1 service to Chester
Work along the A5032 Whitby Road has closed both lanes from the A41 to the Strawberry Roundabout and is expected to last until Friday, May 2. This means the road is closed through Backford which serves as part of the 1/X1 services run by Stagecoach from the nearby Cheshire Oaks shopping village. #LCRTravelUpdate[1] I ? @StagecoachMCSL[2] services will now be diverted from #CheshireOaks[3] via the M53 to Chester in both directions.

Both the bus company and Mersey travel, which overseas transport in the region, have confirmed that for the duration of the roadworks, the bus service will run along the motorway.
OTHER NEWS: Stagecoach tweeted: "The A41 in Backford has been closed. "Our 1/X1 services will now be diverted from Cheshire Oaks via the M53 to Chester in both directions.
