Man dies after Surrey car and lorry crash

A man has died after a crash on a rural road in Cranleigh[1]. Officers were called to Smithwood Common Road on Thursday morning (April 17) following reports of a serious collision[2] between a car and a lorry. The driver of the car, a man in his 50s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
The other driver remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation. Surrey Police[3] are now looking to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or have any information that could assist its investigation. The force is particularly interested in tracing the movements and manner of driving of a black Audi prior to the collision.
