Major Aberdeen rail disruption after car crashes into road bridge

Rail passengers in Aberdeen[1] are facing major disruption on Sunday after a car crashed into a road bridge. Network Rail have closed the line between Aberdeen and Dyce[2] for the remainder of the day after the incident on Don Street[3] on Saturday night. Teams are working to repair a bridge parapet and clearing debris from the tracks, with an image shared by Network Rail[4] from the scene of the collision showing the scale of the damage done to the bridge.
ScotRail[5] have informed passengers all trains between Aberdeen and Inverness will start and terminate at Dyce, while Aberdeen to Inverurie services have been cancelled. In an update on X, Network Rail posted: "The line between Dyce and Aberdeen will remain closed today. We're dealing with significant damage to a bridge over the tracks, and it's not safe to run trains. ' "Overnight, we've made alterations to the timetable with @ScotRail.
