M1 lanes reopen as broken-down lorry cleared

A broken-down lorry on the M1[1] which resulted in earlier lane closures[2] has now been cleared.

The lorry had resulted in the country-bound road being reduced to one lane of traffic between junctions two and three at Dunmurry.

The incident was cleared by 8.30am.

A police[3] spokesperson said: "Road users are advised that the M1, which was down to one lane at Dunmurry, country-bound, from junction two until junction three earlier this morning, has now reopened."

Earlier, police had advised drivers to take extra caution in the area.
