Lorry driver in hospital after crash closed A11 for nearly three hours

A lorry driver was taken to hospital after a crash on the A11 on Friday night closed the road in both directions for nearly three hours. A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: "We were called at around 5.10pm to a road traffic collision involving a lorry on the A11 near Kilverstone. "Three ambulances, an ambulance officer vehicle and the East Anglian Air Ambulance were dispatched to the scene, where the lorry driver, an adult man, required urgent medical attention.

"The man was transported by road to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for further treatment."

The road between the A1075 and A1066 was closed in both directions until around 8.30pm, with drivers sent on diversions along the A140 to avoid the scene.
