Woman treated for ‘potentially serious’ injuries after lorry crash

Police officers, paramedics, and fire crews were called to a crash on the A49 from Bullingham Lane to Portway Grafton yesterday evening (March 5), at 7.42pm, which involved a car and a lorry. Fire crews found a woman who was "mechanically trapped" in her car, and cut her free before she was taken to hospital. The road was closed while emergency services attended the scene and reopened at 10.30pm.
ALSO READ: A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said they sent two ambulances and an air ambulance to the scene. "On arrival crews found a woman, the driver of the car, who they treated for potentially serious injuries before conveying her to Hereford County Hospital under emergency driving conditions, for further treatment," they said.
"A man, the driver of the lorry, did not wish to be assessed and was discharged at the scene."
