Roadchef expands EV charging network with 360kW units in Wales

Roadchef has installed six new 360kW electric vehicle (EV) chargers at its Pont Abraham motorway services on the M4 at junction 49, Carmarthenshire, Wales. The high-powered units, equipped with CCS connectors, are compatible with a wide range of EVs.

Alongside the new chargers, visitors to Pont Abraham Services can access two hours of free parking, free Wi-Fi, and a selection of food and retail outlets, according to a press release.

The expansion comes as a UK Parliament public accounts committee report highlights disparities in EV charging infrastructure. Roadchef's investment strengthens Wales' network, adding to the 678 rapid and ultra-rapid charge points available across the country.

With EV adoption rising, as noted by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), Roadchef[1]'s investment supports the transition to a low-emission transport network.
