M6 drivers have been warned to brace for queues on the major Midlands motorway this afternoon as a result of two separate incidents.

A car fire and crash have taken place on the northbound side of the motorway causing queues as a clean up takes place.

The car fire has now been cleared, but traffic cameras are showing a busy carriageway with queues of traffic as the route recovers. The areas affected are the M6 junction 4 and junction 6, which leads to the A38 into Birmingham[1] centre.
