M42 M5: Motorway slip road closed after welfare concern

West Mercia Police said it responded to a concern for safety report on the slip road between the M42 and the M5 in Bromsgrove. Stourbridge Road was closed in both directions between the Barnsley Hall Roundabout and Rocky Lane, as was the slip road from the M42 onto the M5 southbound. In a statement, West Mercia Police said: "Emergency services [were] on scene at the M42 in Bromsgrove, near to Stourbridge Road, due to a concern for safety report.

"A woman has been brought to safety and is in the care of paramedics."

The road closures were lifted by National Highways: West Midlands at around 4.30pm today (March 27).
