Lorry crashes into telegraph pole outside school

A lorry smashed into a telegraph pole near a school in Cornwall this afternoon, Tuesday, March 25. There was heavy traffic on the A30 eastbound following the crash near Nancealverne School in Penzance. Roads and traffic monitoring site, Inrix, first reported the crash at 4.06pm.

It said: "A30 eastbound blocked, heavy traffic due to accident, a vehicle colliding into a pole involved from St Just turn off to Nancealverne (Heamoor Roundabout)." A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called to reports of a lorry being in collision with a telegraph pole at the Heamoor roundabout on the A30 in Penzance at around 3.40pm today, Tuesday 25 March. "No injuries have been reported.

A local road closure has been put in place". Five hours after the crash, the A30 reopened. We will keep you updated with our live blog below.
