Live M56 traffic updates as motorway closed after ‘serious’ crash

The M56 is at a standstill this afternoon following a 'serious' crash. Traffic monitoring site Inrix states the crash occurred at around 3.30pm on Wednesday, March 12 on the M56 Eastbound between Junction 16 to Junction 15 near Ellesmere Port. The crash has caused "severe delays" and congestion stretches to the A494 Deeside park junction, There is also congested on the A550 towards Two Mills and the A5117 through Dunkirk as traffic diverts.
