Live as horses ‘run down motorway’ causing ‘chaos’
Drivers were hit with delays in part of Merseyside after it was reported two horses were running loose. Merseyside Police confirmed two horses are running loose on the M62[1] near Tarbock Island. Google traffic showed traffic queuing westbound from the main junction to Rainhill Stoops Interchange.
One person told the ECHO[2] "it's chaos" as traffic continued to build. Another person, who was a passenger in a car on the M62, said: "Everyone started slowing down and all the cars were trying to slow them down and direct them to the side which started to work for a bit but the police eventually got them up a slip road to safety."
