C3 Metals secures $75M deal with Freeport-McMoRan, announces Copper Discovery in Peru”

C3 Metals Inc. (OTCQB:CUAUF) (TSXV:CCCM) CEO Dan Symons talked with Proactive's Angela Harmantas from the PDAC conference in Toronto about the company's recent developments, including a major partnership deal in Jamaica and new discoveries in Peru. Symons discussed the strategic agreement with Freeport-McMoRan, which will see the mining giant invest up to £75 million into C3 Metals' Bellas Gate project in Jamaica. He highlighted that this move aligns with the company's long-term vision and validates its first-mover strategy in the region. "Bringing in Freeport, alongside Barrick Gold, really endorses our work and vision," he said.
He also shared updates on C3 Metals' exploration efforts in Peru, where the company has identified a significant copper-molybdenum anomaly at the Jasperoide project. This discovery is located in a well-established copper belt and marks a major milestone for the company. Symons noted that drilling is expected to begin by mid-year, backed by strong financial support.
C3 Metals recently closed a £10 million institutional financing, which will fund ongoing drilling across multiple projects.
Symons emphasized the strong market demand, stating that the financing was heavily oversubscribed, reflecting investor confidence in the company's growth trajectory.
