A52 was closed after lorry crashed and left the main road

A section of the A52 was closed near Sleaford[1] after a lorry crashed and left the road. The collision[2] happened at about 9.25am on Wednesday, March 26, and involved a Renault HGV leaving the road. The A52 was closed from the roundabout at Osbournby to the Scott Willoughby turning.

Motorists were advised to avoid the area whilst recovery work takes place at the scene. Lincolnshire Police[3] shared an update on its Facebook page at 11.29am. It states: "Road closure - A52 Osbournby Road to Scott Willoughby.

"Following a collision we have to close the A52 from the roundabout at Osbournby to the Scott Willoughby turning for a short while while the vehicles involved are recovered. Please avoid the area for the next 30 mins or so. "The collision was reported at 9.25 when a Renault HGV left the road.

Only minor injuries are reported."
