Snow Patrol Belfast door times, traffic information, ticket details and more for SSE Arena shows

Snow Patrol are set to perform two unforgettable shows in Belfast on Thursday and Friday. The Co Down music legends take to the SSE Arena stage on February 27 and 28. The band, made up of Johnny McDaid, Gary Lightbody[1] and Nathan Connolly kick-off their 2025 tour this month playing London, Birmingham, Cardiff, Hull, Glasgow and Manchester before making their way home to Belfast.

The SSE Arena has issued guidance for concert-goers to ensure the best experience for everyone set to attend across the two nights.

They said:

  • We are a cashless venue. Please be prepared to pay by card or contactless for food or drink.
  • Please ensure you arrive in plenty of time to pass through our security checks.

    You may be searched as you are entering the Arena.

  • View and save your tickets from your Ticketmaster account. All tickets need to be downloaded directly to your phone. Screenshots will not work.

Getting to the SSE Arena for Snow Patrol

Getting there by car Accessible from all directions, the Arena is only 100 metres from the M3 motorway.

  • From the M2 - follow the signs for the M3. Exit the M3 onto Queen's Island.

    Turn left at the lights onto the Sydenham Road. The SSE Arena, Belfast is on your right and the car park on the left.

  • From the Outer Ring - head for the city bound Sydenham by-pass. Turn right onto Dee Street and then left onto Sydenham Road.

  • From the A1/M1 - join the A12 Westlink[4]. At the end of the Westlink follow the signs onto the M3 ( Bangor[5] ). Exit M3 onto Queen's Island.

    Turn left at the lights onto Sydenham Road. The Arena is on the right and the car park is on the left.

  • From the City Centre (Front of City Hall) - follow Chichester Street and turn left onto Victoria Street. Pick up signs for A2 Bangor and Queen Elizabeth Bridge.

    Once on the bridge move into the left lane and immediately on crossing the bridge turn left onto Queen's Island. Follow the road for 1/4 mile. The Arena is on the left and the car park is on the right.

Getting there by foot

  • From City Hall (Front of City Hall) - proceed along Chichester Street until it intersects with Victoria Street.

    Turn left onto Victoria Street and proceed until Ann Street. Turn right onto Ann Street. Cross at the end of Ann Street to Queen's Bridge.

    Turn left and walk along the city side of the river until you come to the Queen Elizabeth Bridge. Cross the river over this bridge. Once over the bridge turn left onto Queen's Quay and walk for 1/4 mile the entrance to the Arena is on the left.

  • From Lanyon Place Station - on exiting from the front entrance, turn left and proceed along East Bridge Street.

    Turn right onto Oxford Street past the Waterfront Hall[6] until you come to Queen Elizabeth Bridge. Cross this bridge and having crossed it, turn left onto Queen's Quay and proceed along this road until you reach the Arena entrance on the left.

  • From Titanic railway halt - On exiting halt, walk across the road to bypass, at end of walkway turn left unto Sydenham Road and Arena will be just to the left.

Getting there by train Lanyon Place and Grand Central Station are just one mile from the Arena with Dublin only two hours away by train.

Regular services also operate to Derry Bangor[7], Larne, Coleraine, Portrush and the suburbs of the city. You can find a full list of timetables on the Translink website.

Is there parking at the SSE Arena?

To guarantee getting parked within the car park, please arrive early as the car park fills rapidly. The SSE Arena[8] Car Park runs on a first come first served basis including disabled parking spaces.

Odyssey car park has 1500 spaces and is a shared facility for the whole complex. Traffic congestion can be expected on all approaches to the venue during events and the car park fills rapidly. Visitors are advised to allow plenty of time, both to get to the Arena and to get parked.

For more information and pricing, see here[9]. Alternative Public Parking is also available in the area including the Titanic Quarter at the rear of the complex. The surface car parks in TQL are open 24/7 and pay and display adjacent to the Titanic drawing offices.

All DOE surface car parks are 24/7 and free from 6.30pm, the nearest ones to Odyssey Arena are Middlepath Street and Station Street, a short 5/10 minute walk. There are numerous city-centre car parks that are within a walking distance of the SSE Arena which include, Donegal Quay, Hilton, Victoria Square and Cathedral Quarter[10].
