Prometeon Tyre Group Appoints Steve Tift as new MD

Prometeon Tyre Group, a leading company in the development, production and marketing of tyres for the commercial, agricultural and OTR sectors, has announced Steve Tift as its new MD for the UK and Eire. Tift steps into the role with nine years of experience at Prometeon, where he has played a key role in developing successful sales teams and strengthening customer relationships. Joining in 2016 as Business Development Manager, Tift's commercial strengths saw him quickly promoted to UK Sales Manager and then Sales Director in January 2023.
Commenting on his promotion, Tift said: "I am incredibly proud to be working for Prometeon, I love this company. I've been here for almost nine years, and developing and rebuilding successful sales teams has been my proudest achievement, along with the growth we've achieved in Ireland which has been unprecedented with our strategic partnerships." With a sharp understanding of the cost pressures facing road transport operators, Tift is approaching 2025 with a clear and pragmatic vision. "The year ahead will undoubtedly present challenges as we work to grow the Prometeon brand in a market facing significant cost and operational pressures," Tift acknowledged. "However, I am confident that opportunities exist across all segments.

Exciting time for the business Following the launch of the first ever Prometeon-branded tyres during 2024, Tift reveals there are many new products in the pipeline for 2025 and 2026. "This is an exciting time for Prometeon," Tift added. "Our premium products are already delivering exceptional real-world performance, and we're looking forward to unveiling even more innovations in 2025.

The new MD attributes his past commercial successes to the collective strength of his team rather than individual achievements. He plans to build on this ethos as he takes the helm of the sales team Prometeon has assembled in the area.
