One in hospital after HGV crashes into wall in Darlington with air ambulance called
At 1.46pm on Stockton Road in Darlington, police, fire, ambulance, and air ambulance were called to the scene as pictures showed a HGV had smashed through a wall and narrowly missed a nearby tree.

A Durham Constabulary statement said: "We were called to reports of a one-vehicle collision on the A1150 in Darlington at around 1.50pm today (Thursday).
"The driver was taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital for treatment. "The road remains closed between the A66 junction and the roundabout at Barmpton Lane while the vehicle is recovered from the scene." 
"We dispatched one ambulance crew and a clinical team leader, and requested support from our colleagues at the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) who attended by air and our blue light colleagues at the police and fire services. "One patient was transported by road to Darlington Memorial Hospital for further treatment." A spokesperson from County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service (CDDFRS) said: "Shortly before 1350 today (Thursday), we received a report of a one-vehicle collision, involving a HGV, on the A1150, Darlington.
"Two crews from Darlington and a third crew from Cleveland Fire Brigade assisted at the scene."
