Maxwell Freight Services Title Support For Twins Opener – Road Racing News
Maxwell Freight Services, personal sponsors of Jackson Racing's Paul Jordan, are taking on title sponsorship reigns of the opening, four-lap Super Twins NW200 race, scheduled for the 10th of May. Jointly chatting about their company's Briggs Equipment Northwest 200 support, brothers Tommy Maxwell & Terry Maxwell said: "Back in the day, when transport to the Isle of Man was limited, our father was involved in helping Joey Dunlop to get his race bikes to the island for the TT.
We have inherited his passion for road racing and continue to support the sport. This will be our first involvement as a race sponsor at the Northwest 200 and we are really looking forward to it. The NW200 is a great family event that is professionally run, and we want to be part of it."
Mervyn Whyte, Race Director for Northern Ireland's most recognised real road race, added: "We are thrilled to welcome Maxwell Freight Services on board as a race sponsor for 2025. The Maxwell family have been great supporters of motorcycle racing for decades and their passion and knowledge will be strong assets for the event."
Last year, the Twins race opener around the 'Triangle' saw Peter Hickman (Swan Racing Yamaha) the 'King Pin', post a race long duel with KMR Kawasaki's Richard Cooper. At the finish line, just 0.489 of a separated the English riders, with P1 clincher Hickman additionally taking speediest lap of the race spoils, lapping at 4 minutes 49.514 seconds (111.539 mph).
