M6 slip road closed after lorry crashes and spills its load

A slip road on the M6 is closed after a lorry crashed and spilled its load. The M6[1] south exit slip road at junction 20 - leading to the M56 junction 9 is closed following the incident last night. Road users looking to join the M56 are advised to leave the M6 at junction 20 and at the roundabout take the 3rd exit and use the link roads to the M56 J9 from there.
National Highways posted on social media: "The #M6 south J20A exit slip road to the #M56 J9 is closed this morning following a collision and spillage overnight. "Road users looking to join the #M56 should leave the #M6 at junction 20 and at the roundabout take the 3rd exit and use the link roads to the #M56 J9 from there."
