M20 rush hour coach and lorry crash leads to five mile queues

Long delays were building on the M20 on Friday evening (February 21) after a crash near Maidstone. It happened between Junctions 4 and 5 and involved a coach and lorry. National Highways said two our of three lanes eastbound were closed at just after 5pm, with five miles of congestion and delays of half an hour and building.
Emergency services were at the scene, including police, paramedics and Kent Fire & Rescue Service. Traffic information service Inrix reported "severe delays" in the area. This is a breaking news story.
