Long traffic delays on M20 after crash between Junctions 8 for Leeds Castle and 9 for Ashford

A crash on a busy motorway led to miles of tailbacks. Traffic was gnarled up between Junctions 8 and 9 of the M20 near Ashford on the coastbound stretch.

Kent Highways posted on X: "Delays on the coastbound carriageway after Junction 8 for Hollingbourne/A20 due to a road traffic collision." A police spokesman confirmed officers were called to the scene of a two-vehicle collision.

"No serious injuries have been reported and officers are working to clear the carriageway," he said.

The crash has since been cleared.
