Live: Major M5 delays amid motorway roadworks in Somerset

Queues of traffic are forming on the M5 in Somerset as road works are completed on the motorway. One lane northbound has been closed from Bridgwater to Burnham-on-Sea to allow emergency repair work to be completed. National Highways traffic cameras show long queues of slow moving traffic start to build in the area.
It comes after a day of repair work left traffic queuing for six miles yesterday afternoon.[1] Traffic monitor Inrix reports: "Slow traffic and one lane closed due to emergency repairs on M5 Northbound from J23 A39 (Bridgwater North) to J22 (Burnham-on-sea)."
