Man seriously injured after car and lorry crash in Coventry
A man has sustained serious injuries after a crash in Coventry[1]. It happened in Binley[2] this morning (January 17). Paramedics were called to the scene of the incident at around 7.30am.
Crews found that a car and a lorry had been involved in a collision on Brinklow Road. Medics found a man, the driver of the car, in a critical condition, West Midlands Ambulance Service[3] said. He received emergency treatment at the scene before being taken to University Hospital Coventry[4].

He was also taken to UHCW for further treatment and remains there this morning (January 17). In a statement issued today (January 17), West Midlands Ambulance Service[8] said: "Crews found the driver of the car, a man, critically injured. He was removed from the car before ambulance staff administered advanced trauma care."
It added: "He was conveyed to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire[9] with the Critical Care medics travelling on board to continue treatment en route.
A man, the driver of the lorry, was treated for minor injuries and also taken to UHCW for further treatment."
