M25 Surrey diversion route as section of motorway closed for 10 hours
A diversion route has been put in place after a lorry crash has closed a section of the M25[1]. The M25 in Surrey is closed anti-clockwise between J9 ( Leatherhead[2] ) and J8 ( Reigate[3] ) after a lorry struck the central reservation just before midnight on Sunday (January 5) and came to rest sideways across the carriageway. The carriage was closed for an air ambulance, as well as recovery work which has now been completed.
A resurfacing operation has now got underway and the road is expected to remain closed until at least 15:00.
Diverted traffic is advised to follow the hollow square diversion symbol J10 ( Wisley Interchange) to J8 (Reigate)
