Freeport’s Paityn London secures her 1,000th career point

FREEPORT, Ill. (WIFR) - Freeport sophomore Paityn London reached the 1,000 point milestone for the Pretzels in the first quarter of their game against Monroe on Saturday.

The star athlete needed just 14 points to achieve the milestone and finished with 29 total points through three quarters. London still has a long journey ahead in her young high school career, but she is certain to reach many more milestones.

"It's definitely a great feeling," says London. "I'm super blessed and I'm definitely going to take tonight to enjoy it with my family and friends. I'm really blessed and I'm grateful that God has given me this platform to be on."

The Freeport Pretzels beat the Monroe Cheesemakers in the "snack bowl" 86-16.
