Freeport man arrested for murder after weekend shooting

WALTON COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - The Walton County Sheriff's Office arrested a Freeport man for murder after a shooting on Saturday.

WCSO responded to a report of a shooting in Freeport on December 28.

Deputies say that one man was found with a gunshot wound to his chest.

The unarmed victim was invited into the home, WCSO says.

Authorities identified the shooter as William Matthew Hallman.

Hallman had made previous comments regarding shooting the victim.

Hallman is being held on no bond.
