Extra safety measures are being considered on a road where a lorry crashed into a pub and a takeaway.
Temporary traffic lights were installed to make way for repair work following the crash on the A49 in November that badly damaged the Three Fishes and Hong Kong City in Bayston Hill, Shropshire.
The parish council's safety working group told National Highways it was concerned about people speeding and taking unsuitable shortcuts as a result of the lights.
Joseph Walmsley, National Highways route manager, said it had "increased scrutiny" of the road as a result.
