Two vehicle crash on A66 in County Durham village as lorry overturns
Emergency services attended the scene and thankfully nobody was seriously injured in the incident. The A66 has been closed since the early hours of the morning and is yet to re-open while the recovery work is underway. A National Highways spokesperson said: "The A66 in North Yorkshire is closed in both directions between the A1 at Scotch Corner and the A67 at Bowes.

A Durham Police spokesperson said: "Police were called shortly before 7.50am today (December 5) to a two-vehicle collision near Bowes.
"Thankfully, nobody is believed to have suffered any serious injuries."
