Tesla driver charged over M4 lorry crash that killed two women

A Tesla driver has been charged over an M4 lorry crash that killed two women. Mother and daughter Cheryl Woods, 61, and Sarha Smith, 40, were crushed to death by a HGV after it toppled over onto their car on the eastbound carriageway in Wiltshire in October last year. The incident sparked a significant emergency response, but despite the efforts of first responders - the pair, from Caerphilly in Wales, could not be saved.

Following an investigation into the road traffic collision, Firas Zeineddine - the driver of a Tesla involved - has been charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving. The 45-year-old, of Bluebell Drive, Keynsham, is due to appear at court soon. The exact date has not yet been revealed by Wiltshire Police.
