Man dies after crash between lorry and pedestrian that shut road for hours
A man has died following a serious crash between a lorry and a pedestrian in an Essex town. Witnesses are being sought after the man in his 60s died in Grays on Friday morning (December 20). Essex Police were called to the crash between a lorry and a pedestrian in Oliver Road, Grays, at around 6.30am.
Very sadly, the pedestrian, a man aged in his 60s, was declared dead at the scene. A spokesman for the police urged anyone who saw anything to come forward. They said: "The road was closed for a number of hours while officers worked alongside other emergency services.
