M1 motorway reopens in Northamptonshire after lorry crash

A motorway was partly closed after a lorry overturned in a collision.

Northamptonshire Police were called at 03:50 GMT to reports of a single-vehicle collision involving a lorry on the M1 northbound carriageway between junction 16 (Weedon Bec) and junction 18 (Crick).

The motorway was later closed by National Highways "to facilitate the complex recovery of the lorry" and no injuries were reported.

A diversion route was in place, external[1] but two lanes have since reopened.

One lane is shut for barrier repairs.
