A14 closed after lorry overturns
The A14 has been closed after a lorry has overturned on the road this Monday afternoon (December 2). According to National Highways the A14 is closed between junction 22 with the A1 and junction 17 at Leighton Bromswold. It's been reported that recovery of the lorry is underway, but the road will remain closed in the meantime.
According to National Highways, police, paramedics and traffic officers are at the scene of the crash. We're expecting further updates on this incident soon and will update the blog the below and soon as we get them. Elsewhere on the A14, delays continue, after one lane being closed after a crash.
One lane is shut to traffic on the westbound carriageway between Junction 20 and Junction 18. The closure was first reported at around 2pm. Delays of around 30 minutes are currently reported against expected travel times.
Inrix, the traffic data company, said: "Queueing traffic and one lane closed due to accident on A14 Westbound between J20 (Ellington) and J18 (Spaldwick). Congestion to J21 (Brampton Hut)." CambridgeshireLive will bring you further updates as they become available.
