Tributes pour in as ‘wonderful mother’ named as A96 lorry crash victim
A fundraiser has been launched following the death of a ‘wonderful’ mum-of-one in a crash on the A96[1] last week. Paulina Zogota, 27, had been driving a car that collided with a lorry near Forres[2] on Monday, November 11, and despite the best efforts of emergency crews[3], she was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Tributes have been paid by Paulina’s family who described her as a “wonderful mother, wife, daughter, and friend”.
She has tragically left behind a seven-year-old son. Efforts are now being made to repatriate Paulina, who was originally from Poland, back home, and a fundraiser has been set up to help cover the costs, writes the Daily Record[4]. The touching post read: “With deep sadness, we reach out to ask for your help.
On November 11, in a tragic car accident, we lost our beloved Paulina, who was only 27 years old.

“Her sudden passing is an immense loss for everyone who knew her. She leaves behind a seven-year-old son who now needs our support more than ever. “Paulina always considered Poland her true home, and it is our deepest wish to bring her back so she can rest in peace where her heart truly belonged.”
Following the accident, police urged anyone with information to come forward. The 57-year-old man driving the lorry did not require medical treatment.

Sergeant Lesley Morrison previously said: “I am appealing to anyone who was on this road around the time of the incident to contact us. We are aware there were some people who stopped to assist who left before officers arrived, I would ask these people to get in touch with us. “It’s imperative we establish the full circumstances of the collision.
I’d also ask anyone with dash cams to check their footage as it could provide us with vital images which could assist us.” Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101 quoting 0408 of Monday, 11 November, 2024.
