Traffic held on M20 between Blue Bell Hill and Leybourne due to ‘animals in the road’
Traffic was temporarily held on the M20 following reports of “animals in the road”. Long queues are forming on the London-bound carriageway, between junction 6 for Blue Bell Hill, Maidstone, and junction 4 for the Leybourne Interchange.

Eyewitnesses at the scene reported seeing a “big dog” shortly before 7pm.. A motorist driving along the motorway said a truck, van and a car had managed to stop traffic for the animal.
They added: “It was sat in the lane and they had blocked off another lane around it causing traffic to go down to one lane. “A man was directing cars past while a woman stood with the dog.” According to National Highways, there is queueing traffic due to “animals in the road” in both directions
