Serious crash between lorry and pedestrian closes motorway

The M2 in Kent is closed tonight (Wednesday) following a serious crash. National Highways said the collision has involved a lorry and a pedestrian. As a result, the eastbound carriageway is closed between junction 5 near Stockbury and junction 6 near Faversham.

The incident was first reported at 8.36pm. National Highways said: “The M2 in Kent is closed eastbound between J5 near Stockbury and J6 near Faversham following a serious collision between a lorry and a pedestrian. Kent Police are currently at scene leading the response to this collision alongside South East Coast Ambulance Service and National Highways Traffic Officers.”
