M62 crash: Motorway closed in both directions as police and air ambulance rush to serious crash
Traffic along the M62 has ground to a standstill as police and air ambulance crews rushed to the motorway following “a serious collision.” Emergency services raced to the M62 Eastbound between Ainley Top and Brighouse, in West Yorkshire, at about 3:15pm today. All lanes are currently closed and police and paramedics have been spotted at the scene.
According to Mirror[1] affiliate The Manchester Evening News[2], there are reports of the air ambulance landing nearby as all traffic is held. National Highways said drivers could expect lengthy delays. Photos show lengthy delays in both directions of the motorway.
The delays are understood to be due to a serious collision.

Please remain in your vehicles and await instruction from the police or a traffic officer.” Drivers have been told to expect delays of 60 mins above the normal travel time eastbound and more than 30 minutes westbound. National Highways said the road is likely to remain closed well into the evening.
