The car with flames coming from it on the hard shoulder of the M6 Pic: Blog PrestonA car fire caused delays on the M6 during Sunday morning. The fire - close to Junction 30 southbound for Bamber Bridge of the motorway, saw slow traffic past the scene. Delays are continuing into Sunday (10 November) lunchtime on the motorway as a result, with delays of 10 minutes or more being experienced from Junction 32 southbound of the M6[8].
There's also delays on the M55 eastbound approaching the Broughton interchange too, due to the M6 delays. The car fire took place shortly after 10.30am on Sunday. Blog Preston understands no one was hurt in the fire.
