Live: M5 crash sparks lane closure and delays near Bristol

There is slow traffic after a crash on the M5 this afternoon (Friday, November 15). A lane is shut on the southbound carriageway near Bristol and motorists should expect delays. According to traffic monitoring site Inrix, the crash took place between junction 19 for Portishead and junction 20 for Clevedon.

It was first reported at around 2.20pm and traffic is now building on the motorway. Inrix says: “One lane closed and slow traffic due to accident on M5 Southbound from J19 A369 Martcombe Road (Portishead) to J20 B3133 Ettlingen Way (Clevedon).” We will keep you updated on the situation in the live blog below.
