Driver hospitalised after crash involving lorry and car on A832 near Munlochy
The driver of a car has been taken to hospital after being involved in a crash with a lorry near Munlochy this morning. The crash occurred along the A832[1] Tore to Fortrose road near its junction with the B9161 road at Munlochy. It happened just before 11am on Saturday, November 16, and involved a lorry and a car.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were dispatched to the scene at around 11.05am with fire appliances and a heavy rescue vehicle on scene. Police and ambulance service are also on scene, with the driver of the car being transported to hospital in Inverness. A police spokesperson said: “Around 11am on Saturday, November 16, we were called to a collision involving a lorry and a car on the A832 at Munlochy.
“Emergency services attended and the drivers of the car was taken to Raigmore Hospital for treatment.”
The A832 was closed in both directions for around five hours while recovery was arranged.
It has now reopened to traffic.
