Teenage driver charged over Stirling car and lorry crash that killed two passengers

An 18-year-old man has been charged in connection with a fatal crash in Stirling that killed two teenagers. Kyle Marshall, 19, and Jayden McConnell, 17, were pronounced dead at the scene[1] following the collision between a black Vauxhall Corsa and an HGV on the A91 on 17 March. In an update on Tuesday, Police Scotland[2] said the driver of the car has now been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

A force spokesperson added: “A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”

The crash occurred between the Bannockburn Interchange and Greencornhills Roundabout at around 3.50pm. The Corsa driver, who was 17 at the time of the incident, was taken to Glasgow’s[4] Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with critical injuries. Read more from Sky News:

The front seat passenger, a 17-year-old female, was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh[7] for treatment of minor injuries and was later released.

The driver of the HGV, a 29-year-old man, was not injured.
